Description
The Software Release Coordinator will implement the release processes which includes merging source code, verifying builds, and deploying to multiple environments for several SaaS applications. Collaborate across functional project teams including Product, Development, QA, and DevOps as required to successfully deliver releases to production in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing deployments in preparation for production releases.
  • Perform product deployments during designated off-peak hours.
  • Control release of application features in Quality Assurance, User Acceptance Testing, and Production environments.
  • Verify and perform source control merges for changes in multiple repositories.
  • Monitor release builds for multiple applications.
  • Verify required deployment tasks are documented for the release. 
  • Monitor pre-release tasks and tickets required for deployment.
  • Maintain release documentation.
  • Use release management system to track and transition tickets through the release process. 
  • Assist in planning and communicating the release calendar by working closely with a cross-functional group of representatives.
  • Assist Product Owners in identifying and managing inter-dependencies and timing concerns to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Assist in organizational release readiness by working with the various technical and business departments.
  • Participate in release meetings, release readiness reviews, go/no-go meetings, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain documentation related to procedures on the build and release processes.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in software release processes for enterprise SaaS applications preferred.
  • Detailed understanding of deployment, configuration, testing and release management processes based on agile software delivery principles.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines including tools like Git, Octopus, and Jenkins, as well as monitoring tools like Kibana (Elastic) and DataDog preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate release plans and dependencies to business stakeholders and technical personnel.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prepare and implement releases across multiple environments
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and/or other collaboration software systems preferred.

          • 1-3 years implementing and supporting enterprise networking equipment such as Palo Alto / Cisco Firewalls, Cisco Switches, Cisco / Meraki / Ubiquiti WAPs.
          • Advanced Systems Administration and Design: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Platforms as well as Azure Active Directory, Active Directory, Group Policy, and email flow troubleshooting.
          • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure licensing.
          • 2-3 years implementing and supporting cybersecurity products such as Mimecast, Sophos, Symantec, or Proofpoint.
          • Strong knowledge of networking: TCP/IP, LAN / DMZ / WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing Protocols, Switching, and Firewalls.
          • Proven ability to use Microsoft PowerShell scripting and/or the Microsoft Graph API to automate Microsoft 365 management tasks.
          • Financial industry experience including familiarity with market vendor applications such as Bloomberg, Thompson Reuters, FactSet, CapIQ.

          Desirable Qualities

          • Managed Services Provider and Public Cloud experience are big pluses.
          • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
          • Very organized with excellent communication skills.
          • Goal-oriented individual with proven ability to solve problems creatively.
          • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
          • Excellent analytical skills.
          • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
