Working conditions

This role is a full-time salaried position. Work hours for this position are flexible and will be performed from a home office. Must be located in the EMEA Region.

Purpose of the Job
 

As the first UX Engineer fully dedicated to the 6sense design system (6DS), you will help build an enterprise-level design system that elevates our products and improves team efficiency. In addition to acting as the technical liaison between UX and Engineering, you will deliver design system components that are easy for designers and developers to use. All of our engineers will continue to contribute to 6DS alongside their designer counterparts, but this front-end engineering role will play a unique role in helping to seamlessly bring together the concerns of both development and design. 

This is not a designer or project manager role. If you are a Senior Frontend Engineer with experience leading efforts within a Design System team to plan, code, document, and deliver components, then this may be a great opportunity for you. 

Responsibilities & Accountabilities 

  • Build reusable, single-source-of-truth (SSOT), accessible UI components in React, including design tokens and code-focused Storybook documentation.  
  • Ensure components are built for scalability, so that they can be extended as needed over time.  
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between design, development, and product management to ensure the design system meets cross-functional user needs.  
  • Understand the why behind proposed component designs and assess technical feasibility. Scope development efforts.  
  • Communicate component changes and updates to the wider Tech

In this role, you will take complex workflows and convert them into easy-to-use, seamless and delightful experiences that drive SonderMind's mission to redesign behavioral health. The Role

The Design team at Addepar shapes wealth managers’ digital experiences. By crafting and delivering intuitive, easy-to-use products, we help wealth managers grow their businesses and provide best-in-class services to their clients. We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our team in building intuitive, performant, best-in-class user experiences for our data management products and operations tooling. The ideal candidate has a passion for systematic design, scalable information architecture, streamlined workflows, and practical problem solving. You gain a deep understanding of the needs of both the clients and internal users to advise your design. You enjoy diving into the details and untangling edge cases, while connecting the dots and painting the big picture. You lead multiple threads of workstreams at the same time, addressing short-term design needs, and delivering value to users incrementally, while making strides towards the long term vision.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead all design aspects of a project from start to finish, collaborating with cross-functional agile teams to build an elegant, delightful, and cohesive product experience for our users.
  • Elevate Addepar’s product experience through outstanding displays of data visualization and interaction design.
  • Take a user-centric approach to influence product decisions, prioritization, strategies, and roadmaps.
  • Contribute to the expansion, evolution, and adoption of the Addepar Product Language design system.
  • Seek out and embrace feedback from your peers and collaborators while providing thoughtful feedback to your team.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience working in the field of Product Design, UI/UX Design, or equivalent.
  • A portfolio showcasing solid user-centered design practice and a high degree of design craftsmanship.
  • Experienced in crafting web product and UI for enterprise users.
  • Ability to translate complex sets of requirements into sophisticated and scalable design solutions.
  • Curiosity driven learner who can get up to speed on new domains and product challenges quickly.
  • Outstanding collaboration, communication, and presentations skills.
  • A self-starter and a teammate who enjoys working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Experience working with Figma, our primary design tool.
  • Experience in the finance industry is not required, but a huge plus.

What We Are Looking For

  • An IC product designer who is very experienced, and whose work history and portfolio demonstrates that they have clearly mastered the key pillars of their end-to-end craft
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments. Deep Fintech, HR tech, B2b or Saas experience is a plus for this position.
  • Work history that demonstrates your ability to autonomously own design for your team or feature area.
  • An impressive portfolio of work that shows how your design work consistently delivers outstanding results for both the business and for end users
  • Work that demonstrates your experience and product design craft via simplicity, typography, interaction design and UI design
  • Case studies that help us understand your full end-to-end design process from insight gathering through to defining the customer problem, conceptual design, delivery, measurement and optimization.

The Responsibilities of a Senior Product Designer

Senior Designers at Remote are Experienced IC level designers who have mastered and rounded out their end-to-end craft, and autonomously own design for their team or feature area. They may be beginning to mentor others and they share work that has an impact on the larger design team.

  • DESIGN STRATEGY: You can develop strategy for your feature area of the product in partnership with leaders and cross functional collaborators. You can clearly understand business, user and technical needs
  • RESEARCH: You can confidently identify the right moment to do research, pick the right research methodologies and run your own research, with the support of UX research coaches. You have a firm grasp on common research methodologies
  • ENVISIONING: You are a key player in vision processes and concepting where you can rapidly work through mock ups and iterations to create excellent solutions. Your vision work is compelling and you can create breakthrough ideas.
  • VISUAL DESIGN: You can confidently bring high-fidelity designs to life at a high quality. You have a firm grasp on the UI skillset and can confidently use type, colour, layout and illustration to excellent effect.
  • INTERACTION DESIGN: Your interaction design has increasing power and finesse - you can easily build usable flows, and prototypes to help the team make decisions. Your work is refined and you are considering the delightful and highly efficient details that make a lovable product.

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $57,350 USD - $129,050 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
