Who We’re Looking For:

We’re looking to add a Software Development Engineer to the LAMP Development Team. You’ll work on everything from our customer-facing web application using open source frameworks, to highly-available RESTful services. You'll bring solid experience in emerging and traditional technologies such as: node.js React, Python, REST, JSON, XML, Ruby, HTML / HTML5, CSS, NoSQL databases, relational databases, Terraform, Azure Cloud Infrastructure to name a few.

To be successful in this role, you will need extensive knowledge of programming languages and the software development life cycle.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Participate in code release and production deployment, have an aggressive approach to fixing bugs and defects
  • Design, develop, and test software applications in an agile environment

  • Design and implement processes and/or process improvements to help the development of technology solutions

Your Skills and Experience (If Order of Importance):

  • 3+ years of overall software development experience
  • 3+ years’ experience deploying software in virtual or cloud environments
  • 3+ years’ experience with development technologies such as TypeScript, React, NodeJS, GraphQL
  • 3+ years’ experience with data platforms such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch and RobbitMQ
  • Strong Proficiency with Azure cloud technologies such as Function, Data Factory, Front Door, Application Gateway, Terraform, Kubernetes, Key Vault and Velero

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

About the Job

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our team and contribute to the growth and success of OpenSesame’s eLearning platform. As a Senior Engineer, you’ll work across the stack to develop new features, improve existing systems, and ensure high standards of performance and scalability. At OpenSesame, we are evolving toward Extreme Programming (XP) practices, and you’ll spend much of your time pairing or mobbing with other engineers to develop solutions collaboratively as we modernize and improve our systems.

This role requires a well-rounded engineer who can move seamlessly between front-end and back-end tasks, understands cloud infrastructure, and has experience with automated deployments. About the Role

Vidyard is looking for a Senior Software Developerto join our Data Platform team. Reporting to the Manager, Software Development, you'll play a key role in advancing our Company Data System, enhancing data pipelines, and optimizing tools. You'll work with technologies like Druid, Redshift, DBT, Cube, and Metabase, focusing on data collection, modeling, and activation. The Data Platform team’s mission is to enable all sorts of different teams within the company to make data driven decisions. We do this by building, enhancing, maintaining and supporting platform capabilities within data, tracking, and analytics based infrastructure and features. While our primary focus is on enabling data driven decisions for teams within Vidyard, we always have Vidyard customers top of mind too.   • Leading key projects enhancing our data pipeline and roadmap while assessing cutting-edge technologies.
  • Promoting the adoption of internally developed tools through engaging with users, creating comprehensive guides, and ensuring the tool integrates well with existing systems.

    • Tier 1: $172,800-$230,000 base salary

    Tanium Software Engineer II (Backend / Fullstack)

    The Basics: 

    As a Tanium Software Engineer II focused on Backend, you will build and maintain best-of-breed services that power products as part of a nimble development team. Tanium focuses on a customer engagement model and feedback process to ensure our products are designed the right way from the beginning. 

    This is a hybrid position, which will require attendance several days each week in Durham, NC.

     

    What you’ll do: 

    • Build and maintain Tanium's backend services alongside an agile development team 
    • In partnership with our frontend and endpoint teams you will design, develop and test new product ideas from the ground up while working with product management for feedback and input 
    • Work on small teams that tackle big challenges in common components like a common data service tasked with unifying and consolidating endpoint data across the entire ecosystem, handling time series data that drive dashboarding and reporting, and exposing data externally through GraphQL enabling partners (like Salesforce) to easily integrate. 
    • Delivering higher level services enabled by our core services that directly enable our products. These services focus on everything from security to operations to auditing. 

    We’re looking for someone who is: 

    Education 

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 
    • Computer Science or relevant degree preferred 

    Experience 

    • 2+ years industry experience 
    • Experience working with senior developers designing and building high-impact, high-performance, scalable, observable, and maintainable backend services and APIs 
    • Knowledge of at least one of Golang (preferred), Node.js, Python, Ruby, Rust, or Java 
    • Experience with HTTP API development including REST and/or GraphQL 
    • Experience developing data processing pipelines for real time data 
    • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms 
    • Experience with containers and microservices 
    • Experience with modern software engineering development and automation tools like git and CI/CD pipelines 

    Other 

    • Demonstrates sound judgment for balancing between rapid development, long-term code maintainability and supportability 
    • Believes in the power of and the need for writing automated tests as part of development 
    • Experience debugging when things go wrong 
    • Has knowledge of modern backend software frameworks and the versatility to learn new tools

    What you’ll get

    The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000 to $290,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire.
